June 10, 2016, Boca Raton FL – Renovations to a restroom at the East Campus of Florence Fuller Child Development Centers (FFCDC) will be undertaken with the generous grant of $4,500 from the Charles Lafitte Foundation.
We recognize the importance of bathrooms to the health of all of FFCDC’s children. Our campus bathrooms are always clean and safe, but were built decades ago when the Centers were founded. The grant from the Charles Lafitte Foundation allows us to continue providing a healthy and safe environment in which our children can learn and grow. There’s a saying among school administrators that, if you want to feel the pulse of a particular building, you should stick your head into the restroom. Find clean floors and walls, and adequate soap and paper towel supplies, and you know the staff and students are proud of their school.
CEO of Florence Fuller Child Development Centers Ellyn Okrent stated, “We are most grateful to the Charles Lafitte Foundation for recognizing our community’s need for support. This grant will help our Centers to both strengthen our programs enable us to continue to invest in early childhood education.”
