A Message from the CEO
Renewed Energy and Promise
We’ve got quite a year ahead of us! Into it we’re taking the lessons we learned in 2020, strengthened resolve, and a hopeful vision for the children and families we serve.
Thank you for being there for us as we evolved to meet every challenge the past year threw our way. Because of you, we’re still standing for the children and families who count on us to stand on their own.
Together, we’re rolling out a 2021 to remember!
This new year, we welcomed four new member to the Board of Directors:
Rotarian and real estate broker Alan Kaye, tax attorney Matthew Scheer, business development professional Brian Long, and strategic planning executive Stefan Nied. We’re thrilled to add their energy to our already dynamic Board of Directors!
We also welcomed longtime Board member Simone Spiegel to her newly elected position as President and Chairman of the Center Board! Her leadership, her stalwart dedication to our children and families, and her wealth of knowledge and experience is absolutely invaluable to the agency’s growth and well-being.
2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of our organization!
Since 1971, tens of thousands of lives have been touched by this mission. Thousands of futures have been made brighter, families made stable and self-sufficient, and dreams made possible. It’s a huge milestone – a golden anniversary – and we couldn’t have reached it without you!
I’d like to extend a sincere “thank you” to all who gave to the Annual Fund in the past year. I know it may not have been easy to open your heart to help those most in need in 2020 expecting nothing in return. I know we asked a lot of you.
We asked for classroom-safe shoes, new stoves so our children could have hot meals on campus, emergency COVID relief to keep our doors open, and the Year-End Appeal to ensure they stay open… it was truly our time of need to ensure this mission survives for future generations.
And YOU – our caring community – answered the call loud and clear!
Today, every child and teacher at the Fuller Center has classroom-safe shoes. The kitchens have brand-new reliable kitchen equipment. The Centers survived the COVID shutdowns where so many other child care and early education centers did not. And the Year-End Appeal raised more than it ever has in the 50-year history of our organization!
We know your kindness comes from a place of compassion, and a place of trust. We intend to continue stewarding your generous support with the utmost accountability, transparency, and diligence to best benefit the children and families we serve.
Together, we are transforming the lives of these children and families and our community, ensuring an impact that will last for the next 50 years and beyond!
I invite you to stay tuned with the Fuller Center for a year of celebrating our 50th. There’s much more to come, and we do hope you can join us! Please stay connected via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
